Highland Wine Merchants will be here again this year, and we’re bringing six wines:
IXSIR Altitudes Rosé – Recalling the wines of Provence, this wine’s suave fruity and crispy palate will arouse the admiration of anyone passionate about authentic rosé wines. A blend of Syrah, Caladoc, and Cinsault.
Kiona Columbia Valley Riesling – Crisp, clean, and refreshing. A slightly spicy finish puts an exclamation point on the end of this delightfully charming and drinkable wine. A small Gewürztraminer addition adds intrigue and helps to balance acidity.
Contramalini Valpolicella – Fresh cherry flavors with moderate intensity and very pleasant mid-palate. Serve slightly chilled for a refreshing hot weather treat!
Kiona Estate Red Mountain Sangiovese – Racy and bright, with vibrant red fruit and trademark minerality. This wine’s ample acidity makes it a food-pairing superstar, able to complement a wide array of cuisines from around the world.
IXSIR Altitudes Red – 91 points from Decanter magazine. Fresh aromas that vary between red and black fruits, with a touch of oak. Its unique blending gives the wine a supple and delicate character where blackcurrant and blackberry merge. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Caladoc, Tempranillo.
Kiona Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon – 90 points from The Wine Advocate. “Terrific notes of blackcurrants, plums, wild herbs, tobacco leaf, and smoke to go with a medium to full-bodied, ripe, forward, textured profile on the palate. Surprising elegance and polish at the price.” -Jeb Dunnick
