Chateau Capdet is a cru Bourgeois from the Listrac Medoc Appellation.
The Wine is particularly marked by the Cabernet Sauvignon grown on gravelly ridges ofFonréaud by Jean-MarieRaymond, and received the acclaimed Gold Medal from the French Minister of Agriculture for the 2009 vintage. Aged in oak barrels the wine shows a perfect balance, great power and length.
This is a Highly original appellation producing powerful and vigorous wines with great elegance.
Listrac-Medoc stands at the margin of the two Medoc areas- the wine growing area and the forest land- and is the youngest communal appellation in the Medoc district.
Dominant Fragrances of ripe red fruit but also a wealth of other nuances, such as Balsam, leather, and licorice, plus a whole range of spicy aromas such as Vanilla, or toasty scents acquired from aging in oak.
56 % Merlot, 42 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 2 % Petit Verdot.
